220 calendar

this is a very simple calendar of 360 days aligned to the zodiac wheel with a 20-Feb-2003 start date. equinoxes & solstices are included but not counted. 12 x 30 = 360, plus four days equal 364 days. 12 represents {a} the zodiac houses, and {b} a "week". there are thirty 12-day "weeks" in a "year". each zodiac sign has 30 degrees divided by six quinaries of 5 degrees each. every zodiac degree—whether divided by quinary (5), decan (10) or triplicity (15)—is assigned a variety of correspondences. the thirtieth & final week of the year has approximately 5 null days "free" of all correspondences, rulerships, etc.

this 360-day calendar is the basic structure of, what i call, "the grid" (inspired by Duquette's chart appearing in two of his books) displaying a variety of cycles (nakshatras, gates), rulerships (planetary, zodiac, bonorum) & transits (planets, asteroids, comets). ie, "gates" can be the 231 Gates of the Sefer Yetzirah — for the 220 calendar i'll be exploring pandemonium gates using ABJAD {1}{2}{3}.

for example: {a} the seven kings & princes of the Tabula Bonorum are assigned to the traditional weekdays & their ministers assigned to the hours of the day. each day is divided into six 4-hour segments and seven ministers are assigned to each segment (each king-prince has a total of 42 ministers: 6 x 7 = 42). this works out to 34 minutes & 17 seconds for each minister (see The Enochian Magick of Dr. John Dee by Geoffrey James, Appendix A). {b} there are 72 quinaries matching the 72 demons of the goëtia & 72 angelica of the shem-hamephoresh {*} (72 x 5 = 360) where every quinary = 4-hour segment (see Talismanic Theomagic).

the 72 fixed stars, asteroids, centaurs & comets selected are placed on the grid matching the natal chart. these 72 are a subset of the biglist or 220 list (which i call the dharma report also aligned to the natal chart). each house indicates total number of asteroids to quickly determine which house has the greatest activity. the dharma report blends together two ideas: {1} using a fixed point, like the part of fortune, as the "start" of the chart representing True Will (based on Interpreting The Dharma Point / Part of Fortune by Moses Siregar), and {2} focusing on each planet or asteroid's relationship to this fixed point (using the 36 cyclic aspects developed by Michael Meyer); while conjunctions & other aspects are considered, the primary relationship is from the fixed point (see Talismanic Theomagic).

the part of fortune, from Siregar, points an individual to where s/he can best use and develop his/her personality to find happiness. it represents an individual's "right personal destiny" & "innate purpose". i blended this idea with Meyer's 36 aspects since his astrology is humanistic (versus deterministic) & person-centered seeing the person as an independent organic whole consisting of an intricate pattern of interrelated and interacting forces.

however, instead of the using the part of fortune i use fixed star Yildun as the starting point. my intention is exploring the interrelationship between micro- & macrocosmos. Yildun is currently at Cancer 1° and is very close to the current pole star (Polaris). Cancer is also the first house on the grid (meaning Aquarius is in the eighth house). Aries & Cancer are both cardinal signs defining beginnings (traditionally, Aries is the start of spring). Aries represents the persona or our dynamic external characteristics (Ascendant, the horizon) and Cancer represents hidden aspects of the emotions, fantasies & the imagination (Imum Coeli, the nadir). since Jupiter is exalted in Cancer and is pandemonium's Zone Five, where Kattak lives, i'll explore Cancer in Aries & Aquarius in Scorpio in another post.

after working out the calendar i update the dates on the grid to the current cycle. a series of ephemeris lookup tables plug in transits & other data (nakshatras, moon phases, etc). factoring DST, ephemerides set to the time of the natal chart & the six 4-hour segments also begin at that time. the dharma report is updated & resorted by EON Phase & a final head count determines how many planets & asteroids appear in each house.

so ... after months of neglect i'm updating my grid. previously i've explored the 484 gates creating a flower within the system based on the Sigillum Dei Aemeth. instead of a seven spoke, 3 ring pattern i'm contemplating the numogram and wondering how to cycle through that. where do you start? the idea is that each 4-hour segment expresses syzygetic pathworking (whatever that means).
