STS-124 MCC Status Report #20 :: 4:30 a.m. CDT :: HOUSTON – The crew of Discovery has begun its last day of joint operations with the International Space Station. Crew members were awakened at 3:32 a.m. CDT by "All Because of You," performed by U2. It was played for Mission Specialist Ron Garan. The crew will spend the morning configuring a backup drive for the Kibo laboratory’s robotic arm. The astronauts also will be enjoying a couple of hours of off-duty time today after several busy days on orbit. International Space Station Flight Engineer Greg Chamitoff and Discovery Mission Specialist Garrett Reisman (whom Chamitoff replaced as a station crew member) will speak with NBC News, KGO Radio and Fox News Radio this afternoon. Those interviews will air live on NASA TV at 1:10 p.m. At 2:57 p.m. CDT, the crews of Discovery and Expedition 17 are due to say goodbye to each other. Hatches between the two spacecraft will be closed shortly thereafter. Crew members will do a series of leak checks before going to sleep for the evening. Discovery's crew begins its sleep period at 7:02 p.m. Undocking from the International Space Station is set for Wednesday at 6:42 a.m. The next status report will be issued at the end of the crew’s day, or earlier if events warrant.

(i can't center that youtuber! what's all that white space?) ok, thinking about a Mac. even though i've never had one before, or a laptop. a Mac laptop w/ wifi (or the whatsit that connects you w/o wires so you can blog at starbucks). if it runs Excel i'm happy coz i use that all the time. but then, what about GemCalc? can it run that? the thing must allow full nummification! how am i going to back up all the stuff on this pc? what's the transfer mechanism? how am i going to update software! office, photoshop, dreamweaver, fireworks, quicklatin. i like norton. what's my firewall (does a Mac need one)? i want a Mac {if it kinda sorta acts like a pc when i need it to (15%) & then goes back to Mac-ness}. which one?

posted this & whitespace is gone — so it only shows up in edit mode i think. added center tag, that usually worx.

nope, center tag doesn't work. i think this illustrates my dis-alignment about the new puter — CHANGE!* too much of one type & not enough of the other ($). AO-55 CHANGE IS GOOD!

touchpad is my main problem w/ laptops. i need a mouse for some reason.

removed center tag on lj-embed & aligned this box to the left.

i conclude, Macs are marxist.

okie dokie. MY schedule today: phone appointment @ 1pm PDT. yearly inspect our property day. last time i cleaned up like a maniac & no one showed up. stupid me... called rental office. so i see notice on the door yesterday & didn't care. now i'm going to take a nap so i'm awake for later. may i remain centered, calm & focused.

btw, the vse president has 224 days remaining to make NASATV ubiquitous for all americans.

Expecto Glamorissimo!

{The Crimson Chin} as long as there is a single international space station, stout-hearted spacecraft will continue to cut through lots of red-tape to deliver truth justice &... AO-114 HEY, ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A PLUMBER?

{*} not intended as political statement but statement of personal pdd reality.

ah, it was just Rito & Berto, the maintenance guys. Rito said i switched the batteries in one of the fire alarms so it wouldn't work. i did not. he put it in right & it wouldn't stop ringing. aha! he's going to fix the window screen today @ 10am, it's been busted since i got here.
