STS-121 launch NASA {23TA00}, SUN {09CN50} & ASCENDANT {10SC11}. when i first looked at the STS-121 launch chart i thought: that's a lot of nineteens. significantly, MOON {19VI31}, NEPTUNE {19AQ24Rx}, PARTOFFORTUNE {19CP54}, DISCOVERY {19CN18} & OSC.APOGEE-DRUJ {19VI44Rx}. checking Riyal & asteroids, here's what i have so far at the 19th Degree, all houses {chart|pdf|qoph|sun}:

ASBOLUS {19AR30}, 1996TR66 {19AR46}, TALOS {19AR51}, 1998WA31 {19TA52}, SEDNA {19TA59}, 1998WX31 {19GE38}, #418-ALEMANNIA {19CN08}, #777-GUTEMBERGA {19CN14}, DISCOVERY {19CN18}, 2000CM114 {19LE48}, 2000CO104 {19VI26}, MOON {19VI31}, OSC.APOGEE-DRUJ {19VI44Rx}, FLORA {19SC38Rx}, 2003CC22 {19SG21Rx}, 2003WN188 {19CP02Rx}, PARTOFFORTUNE {19CP54} & NEPTUNE {19AQ24Rx}.

keep in mind Scorpio 19° is the "evil degree" because of superstition. for some odd reason i'm weirdly happy by all these nineteens coz i'm thinking everybody's checked all the gunky stuff. ima(nthropomorphic)o, Discovery is a very sturdy & brave girl. occurred to me ASC reaches Scorpio 19° at 20:29:05.26 UT {chart|pdf} & Scorpio 20° at 20:33:46.08 UT {chart|pdf|resh|judgement}. guess what's on the 20th degree?

STS-121 MOON {19VI32} 69º41'56" from SUN {09CN50}; CRESCENT MOON TYPE (Soli-Lunar Arc: 45°-90°): "Your typical personal characteristics are: determined self-assertiveness, active faith, the eager desire to carry out an inwardly felt command and to clear the way for the fulfilling of new goals; negatively, a sense of frustration and of struggling against too great odds." Examples of the type: Louis XVI, Abdul Baha, Franz Liszt, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Andrew Carnegie.

Sun and Moon above the horizon: The main focus of the life is in the outer world. Both the essential purpose and the characteristic bio-psychological traits of the individual are polarized by racial, cultural, social ideals or collectively spiritual values. Examples: Washington, Gandhi, Mussolini, Karl Marx, Czar Nicholas II, Richard Wagner.

Another way of reaching an interpretation of the positions of the Sun and the Moon with reference to the horizon is the study of the "Part of Fortune" as an index to the individual's capacity for happiness and ease in relationship, and as a result, for social success. The Part of Fortune's position in the houses of the chart depends upon the phase of the Moon, thus, upon the angular relationship between the Sun and the Moon. It is below the horizon during the waxing period of the lunation; and above the horizon as the moon decreases in light.

[29-Jun|04:00pm] :: 19:49 UT Launch degree at Bonorum 19:42:51 UT time segment (30-June) is Pisces 23°42'40" — Sabian symbol, Pisces 24° The tiny island seems lost in the broad ocean but its happy inhabitants have created a great world all their own. ASC reaches Scorpio 19° at 20:29:05.26 UT & Scorpio 20° at 20:33:46.08 UT during Bonorum 20:17:08 UT time segment (30-June) at Pisces 24°25'32"; Sabian symbol Pisces 25° Ecclesiastical reform of drastic nature is in progress and a purged and purified priestcraft opens a new ministry.

[01-Jul|08:18am] :: when i first posted this, launch time at NASA's website was 03:48pm EDT, actual launch time is 03:49pm EDT. changed above graphic & time on this post to the correct time, except the other charts (since they don't change much).

[02-Jul|06:10am] NASA's launch of Space Shuttle Discovery at Kennedy Space Center, Fla., was scrubbed [yesterday] due to inclement weather. The primary concern was the presence of anvil clouds and thunderstorms within 20 miles of the launch site. The next launch attempt for Discovery's STS-121 mission to the International Space Station is set for Sunday, July 2, at 3:26 p.m. EDT. Commentary on NASA Television will begin with fueling of the shuttle's external tank at 5 a.m. followed by full coverage at 9:30 a.m. The forecast for Sunday shows a [70 percent] probability of weather prohibiting launch. primarily, looking at POF conj HYGIEA because we've got a "scrubbed" launch from yesterday; HYGIEA seems really descriptive here, especially when considering anchorite [+][+]. NASA moves launch time approximately 24 hours minus 20 minutes after each scrub so Discovery synchs up with ISS. new launch time is 24H minus 23M. there's a grand trine with the SUN & another with the MOON. i'm looking at the SUN opp SPIRIT as the operative hexagram (notice green lines forming modified kite formation, harmonious aspects). SPIRIT named after Mars rover; Spirit's landing site named "Columbia Memorial Station". using 24H/23M, POF, HYGIEA, ASC, MOON & ICARUS the next few days:

 • 01-July (3:49pm) :: POF {20CP07} & HYGIEA {22CP47Rx}; ASC {10SC25}; MOON {19VI32} & ICARUS {24VI07}
 • 02-July (3:26pm) :: POF {26CP41} & HYGIEA {22CP36Rx}; ASC {06SC18}; MOON {01LI09} & ICARUS {27VI40}
 • 03-July (3:03pm) :: POF {03AQ17} & HYGIEA {22CP25Rx}; ASC {02LI11}; MOON {12LI49} & ICARUS {01LI01}
 • 04-July (2:40pm) :: POF {10AQ02} & HYGIEA {22CP14Rx}; ASC {28LI02}; MOON {24LI39} & ICARUS {04LI38}
 • 05-July (2:17pm) :: POF {16AQ59} & HYGIEA {22CP03Rx}; ASC {23LI53}; MOON {06SC42} (fallen) & ICARUS {07LI11}

today, slight increase in separation between POF-HYGIEA & MOON in Libra looks good. tomorrow, POF moves into Aquarius no longer conjunct HYGIEA; MOON really close to Libra 11° & ASC now in Libra. 04-July, MOON-ASC conjunct & POF 18° from HYGIEA close to the Aquarius 15° gateway. don't much like 05-July because MOON's fallen in Scorpio & now below the horizon AND in Via Combusta. on 01-July, MOON 5° from ICARUS, today it pretty much remains the same. however, by 03-July the separation between MOON & ICARUS really begins to widen by 11° & by 04-July it's about 20°. personally, since NASA's focus after Shuttle missions is Lunar, i like MOON & ASC in Libra (especially since Libra's polarity is Aries). 04-July is the only way i'd be comfortable with a Via Combusta MOON.

charts :: 01-July (3:49pm), 02-July (3:26pm), 03-July (3:03pm), 04-July (2:40pm) & 05-July (2:17pm).

POF Sabians make a huge shift after 01-July where next four days share similar themes:

POF {20CP07} :: Sabian symbol, Capricorn 21° Excitement thrills the grandstands during the relay race as each runner springs to place with eagerness.

POF {26CP41} :: Sabian symbol, Capricorn 27° A party of anchorites are making a mountain pilgrimage and in view lie both the busy world and the quiet way ahead.

POF {03AQ17} :: Sabian symbol, Aquarius 4° A Hindu pundit emerging from the sleepy and idle warmth of his hut suddenly glows with a mystic healing power.

POF {10AQ02} :: Sabian symbol, Aquarius 11° An artist has withdrawn from friends and all accustomed haunts to be alone with a new inspiration just forming.

POF {16AQ59} :: Sabian symbol, Aquarius 17° The master is sleeping in the little hut near his newly discovered gold mine with his faithful dog on guard.

CHALLENGER accident occurred at Launch; COLUMBIA accident occurred at Landing. don't think a successful Launch is the question, but Landing certainly a consideration. SUN-SPIRIT opposition symbolizes, for me, STS-121 Discovery landing safely with her crew. that's what she's built for, but can NASA make that happen?

last night, when i first looked at this chart, CYLLARUS (keywords: [+][+]) concerned me since he died during a battle & his wife committed suicide. this morning woke up & learned NASA discovered a crack in the shuttle foam. ironically, CHESHIRECAT is part of that square aspect with HERACLES. [03-Jul|10:37pm] :: Discovery's a "Go" for Independence Day :: After analysis of available data, the Mission Management Team has given a "go" for Tuesday's launch of Space Shuttle Discovery to the International Space Station. During a routine inspection Sunday night after the draining of the external fuel tank, a crack was discovered in the foam near a bracket that holds the liquid oxygen feedline in place. It is believed that the rain experienced during Sunday's launch attempt caused water to run down the feedline and form ice near the top of the strut next to the feedline bracket. As the tank warmed and expanded, the ice that formed most likely pinched the foam on the top of the strut, causing a crack and eventual loss of the small piece of foam. The Mission Management Team met Monday at 6:30 p.m. EDT to discuss the results of the information before making a final decision regarding Tuesday's launch attempt. Extensive analysis showed that the area around the crack is intact and there is no concern for heating as there is adequate foam in place on the strut. Additional borescope inspection of the tank revealed that the bracket has no cracks. Currently, there is a 60 percent chance of favorable launch weather for Tuesday and a 40 percent chance of favorable weather for Wednesday according to Air Force First Lt. Kaleb Nordgren of the 45th Weather Squadron. If the weather cooperates this will be the first Independence Day launch of a space shuttle! Evening Briefing Materials: Briefing Video: + Windows. [04-Jul|01:12am] :: current launch chart has P.FORTUNE {09AQ35} conjunct CHIRON {08AQ25Rx}. astrologer Juan Revilla on Chiron: "What would you say of a man with a close Moon/Jupiter conjunction, like this: Moon = 7,09 Cap, Jupiter = 8,15 Cap. in very tight opposition to Chiron in 6,50 Cancer? this is the chart of Hitler... TL66 adds an interesting new element to this, in 7,02 Capricorn Rx. We also note that his Uranus very close to the horizon in 19,29 Libra Rx. is conjunct TO66 in 20,11 Libra Rx. I am very skeptic of those 'healing' cliches attached to Chiron... ! I am also very skeptic of all those cliches attached to Hitler, too..."

Revilla also makes a good point about Chiron & planetary hierarchy — planets have greater chart priority than comets or asteroids. which is why i'm particular about aspect patterns between planets vs. asteroids. 04-July chart displays all aspect lines. removing that option only displays planetary aspects; however, the small solar pentagram remains, which i consider the primary feature of this chart. rating aspects by priority, P.FORTUNE comes first (because following that makes you happy). ironically, P.FORTUNE conjunct CHIRON points back to planetary hierarchy.

first look at 01-July chart thought SUN-JUPITER-URANUS grand trine part of the chart's hexagram. however, working with 04-July chart realized hexagram actually MOON-VERTEX-NEPTUNE + MARS-PLUTO-UB313. 2000UB313 discovered in 2005 (nickname "XENA") larger than PLUTO. PLUTO & UB313 challenge what we know & how we think of planets & IAU still hasn't decided. the Zodiac Master defines the VERTEX as "a sensitive point on the chart (any chart) that during unusual, extraordinary times feels like a fortunate 'turning point' or a meeting with 'Destiny's Gate'. The Vertex often feels like a compulsive, yet fortunate experience and meeting up with destiny that you couldn't avoid (even if you wanted to). According to Bill Meridian (Mountain Astrologer, June/July 2001), astrologer, Charles A. Jayne who (along with Lorne Johndro) first came up with using the Vertex, "felt this point was fated and that it represented matters beyond our control."" more: wikipedia & cafeastrology.com.

i have to increase orb factor to 114% to get VERTEX-NEPTUNE line to show up. it's actually the longest aspect of the MOON-VERTEX-NEPTUNE trine: MOON 114º43'4" from NEPTUNE; NEPTUNE 125º39'20" from VERTEX; VERTEX 119º37'35" from MOON. so i was trying to find an asteroid that would complete MOON-NEPTUNE trine — kinda illustrating VERTEX's illusiveness in a chart. NEPTUNE trines VENUS {12GE48}, ARMSTRONG {15GE11}, TANTALUS {19GE54}, CYLLARUS {20GE25}, HEPHAISTOS {21GE13}, RICEIA {23GE12}, but not VERTEX {25GE00}. RICEIA named after American amateur astronomer Hugh Rice who used to work at the Hayden Planetarium (mission: to give the public a more lively and sincere appreciation of the magnitude of the universe... and for the wonderful things which are daily occurring in the universe). i imagine myself astrologically advising John Adams: listen John, i know you'd really LOVE to make ONE GREAT LEAP for independence (honestly, the possibilities are TANTALIZING), but do we really have to FIGHT the British & put our feet in the FIRE? fifty stars? you must be kidding! but, can't deny that planetary pentagram looks like a Star-on-a-Stick™ with KARMA opposite SUN. kinda screams Independence Day! it is a vertical stretch, innit? sooo...

.... light her up boys & godspeed.

[07-Jul|04:00am] :: i'm so totally bummed. my pc's so old & cranky it won't play windows media & can't watch NASA TV & you'd think with a gazillion cable channels there'd be a a 24-hour Space Shuttle channel. nope. i want my Space Shuttle TV!™.

[07-Jul|06:44am] :: yea! finally found wakeup calls link & updated QuickTime & got that working for Space Shuttle TV™. so my next 'puter is a Mac, i swear. they're showing the ISS right now. i want to see The Bird.

[08-Jul|05:27am] :: need to add asteroid list for NASA's chart, but so far cubewano KR65 {14SG20} conjunct USA ASC {13SG10} destiny degree & how NASA pays it forward. KR65's Sabian symbol at the time of its discovery: Aquarius 5° In the land of shades a grave council of the ancestors of a man of world importance has been called to guide him. seeing that, i now understand VERTEX {25GE00} conjunct HADES {25GE30} a little better (investigation into the root cause of problems; tribal consciousness, ancient protector spirits [+]). someone comments here, how can you write about a culture you've never lived? it's incomprehensible to me why someone wants to blow themselves up in the name of something. don't have the cultural toolkit to solve that particular problem. however, when i want to learn how to do something i observe a pro & i grew up knowing that NASA solves problems. my favorite part of Apollo 13: how do you get a square filter into a round hole? nerds on the ground dump a box of stuff on a table with everything available to astronauts in space — that's all they have to solve the problem. Sagittarius 15° The time is at hand to determine whether winter shall end; the ground hog comes forth looking for its shadow.

USA's HYBRIS {03AQ17Rx} conjunct KR65's discovery degree; HYBRIS acts like a de-limiter, what one future-paces as their fate. NASA's ADMETOS {25AR53Rx} conjunct USA's FORTUNA {25AR09} (Fortuna Publica, fortune of the people). Wescott decribes ADMETOS as persevering through delays, blockages, frustrations, complications ... the need for something else to happen BEFORE success or progress. love how Janis Page puts it: the slow intentional focus with which one can put a hand thru a wall. small moves.

Desiring "9/11" [+] makes me wonder about the difference between o-rings & foam. about things that never should happen & the inevitable. about grief ... & today, something unexpected. maybe hope. it's wondering about the things you don't know, you don't know. John King at CNN asked ISS crew (Commander Pavel Vinogradov, Russia & Flight Engineers Jeffrey Williams, USA & Thomas Reiter, Germany), why take such risks? & Williams said:

Well, let me talk a bit — a little bit in the bigger picture. And that's, if you look at the human history, it is a history of exploration. And there's always been debate on every step of the way throughout history on whether we ought to go beyond what we know. But there's something in our nature that wants to seek and understand and look around the corner and over the horizon to understand what we — and to discover what we haven't discovered yet. And that's what we are doing now. And it's no different than at any other point in history. This is a stepping-stone to future programs and future exploration, back to the moon and on to Mars. So, nobody has ever said it was easy. It's not easy. It's difficult. And it takes a lot of , tens of thousands, really, dedicated, hardworking people that believe in that dream and believe in that focus. And the team that we are honored to work with believe in that. So, it — the steps come small at times. They come difficult at times. But it's a worthy cause. And we need to continue the program.

small moves, Ellie, small moves.

[09-Jul|08:49am] ::

amazing NASA image of Discovery during 04-July-2006 launch from one of the solid rocket boosters {mpeg}{windows}. what's great about this, i can't watch any asx or ram files (which means i can't re-play the launch over & over & over...), but this is the only mpeg on the main shuttle page. no problem with quicktime player. so pleazzzed.

STS-121 Solid Rocket Boosters Videos :: + Left aft SRB camera (13.7 Mb Quicktime movie) | + Left forward SRB camera (13.6 Mb Quicktime movie) | + Separation composite view (10 Mb Quicktime movie)

[10-Jul|06:46pm] :: when Discovery landed planned to dedicate this post to the STS-121 families coz there's nobody braver. why wait? what's the difference between bravery & courage? they've got both. "Clocks" lyrics.
